Spirit of America, David Lerner Associates' family of mutual funds, is made up of a real estate income and growth fund, a large cap value fund and a high yield tax-free bond fund.

Spirit of America Large Cap Value Fund
Spirit of America Large Cap Value Fund's objectives are to seek out securities which offer growth of capital as well as the potential for income. We are interested in seeking a diversified portfolio with minimum risk potential which will be primarily invested in common and preferred stocks and possibly notes and debentures of public companies.

The Fund’s managers typically seek out investments in mid-to-large cap companies, frequently referred to as “blue chip” stocks. They look for the number one companies in their industry in earnings and sales growth, ROE (return on equity), profit margins and product quality. It is also important for these companies to have a reputation for quality management and leadership positions in their industries. Management believes that sound financial investing has nothing to do with speculation, and their philosophy seeks to avoid the latest “trends” and focus instead on the long term.

When selecting securities and other investments, the Fund will focus on whether the issuer can achieve substantial growth. As part of this process, we will look at the economic viability of the company and its market sector as well as the ability of management to add significant value through strategic focus and operating expertise.

The Fund's investment allocation may vary from time to time based upon market conditions, interest rates and other economic factors. The Fund may also hold assets in cash or money market instruments.
